admin

Ugandan right back has joined Tanzania Premier League newly promoted side Ihefu FC, Swift Sports has reliably learnt.

Wadada leaves Azam FC as his employment contract comes to an end after he preferred not to renew it.

The former Vipers captain joined Azam in 2018 after a lengthy successful spell at Kitende.

He hit the ground going and notably emerged as the best defender in the Tanzanian league in 2019 and a nominee for the MVP gong which was won by Simba’s playmaker Clatous Chama.

Wadada has in the current season been limited to playing time at Azam due to injury.

Swift Sports can reliably confirm Wadada has agreed terms of a one year deal with Ihefu FC who are based in the city of Mbeya.

His new side Ihefu FC just won promotion back to the topflight last month.

Ihefu FC were relegated from the topflight a season ago but bounced back by winning the second tier league championship ahead of Shafik Batambuze’s DTB FC.
