Ugandan female pair of Aldrine Birungi and Madam Christine Ginara has joined Kenya’s Gaspo Women Football Club.

The duo completed their moves after leaving FUFA Women Super League champions Lady Doves.

Birungi is a right back while Christine plays as a left back.

They played an instrumental role at Lady Doves and helped the club win the FUFA Women Super League last season at Njeru.

The duo also played a part as Lady Doves finished runners up in the FUFA Women Elite League and FUFA Women Cup in 2019.

Birungi and Christine now join midfielder Joan Nabirye as the other Uganda who plays in the Kenyan top-flight league.

Nabirye plays for Vihiga Queens and played in the group stages of the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt last year.

The Kenyan Women Football league will resume over the weekend following a break.

Gaspo Women currently sit second on the table with 16 points, three behind leaders Vihiga Queens.
