TURKEY: Miya scores brace on Rizespor debut

Farouk Miya has began his new life at Turkish second tier side Caykur Rizespor with a brace in a 3-2 win over Georgian club Torpedo Kutaisi in a friendly game.

It only took Miya three minutes to score his first goal for the Turkish club.

He completed his brace in the 50th minute while Denis Hummet scored the third in the 90th minute.

Miya recently joined Rizespor on a two year in a bid to revive his career after spending a full year without competitive club football.

He is expected to play a huge role for Rizespor next season as the club seeks to gain promotion back to the Turkish Super Lig.

Rizespor will play their fourth pre-season friendly on Friday 22nd July against BB Erzurumspor.

The club will kick start their Turkish second league campaign on 14th August will a home duel against Keciorengucu FC.
