Uganda’s national U20 Women’s team will face Ghana in the second last round of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.
The development comes after Ghana eliminated Zambia 1-0 on aggregate in the third round on Saturday evening.
The first leg had ended goalless in Lusaka before Ghana won the return leg 1-0 in Cape Coast courtesy of a goal from their skipper Evelyn Badu in the 35th minute.
Uganda also ejected South Africa with the same aggregate score having won the first leg in Kitende courtesy of Hadija Nandago’s lone header.

The second leg ended goalless yesterday at the Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg.
The fixtures for the next round will be later communicated.
The winners between Uganda will face either Tanzania or Ethiopia in the final qualification round where the eventual winning team books a ticket in the World Cup.

Tanzania managed to eliminate Burundi 4-3 on aggregate despite playing the second leg in Bujumbura with only eight players after 11 of their players tested positive for COVID-19.
Uganda’s fourth round opponents Ghana, have represented Africa in the most recent five U20 Women’s World Cup editions.
They featured in the 2018 edition held in France, 2016 in Papau New Guinea, 2014 in Canada, 2012 in Japan and in 2010 in Germany.
