Uganda Cranes starlet Jayden Roy Onen has signed an employment contract with England championship side Reading FC.
Onen, 19 is now a Reading FC player but attached to the club’s U-23 team until June 2021 unless otherwise.
The teenage offensive midfielder joined Reading in July after leaving Brentford B and subsequently impressed in the U-23 league.

He has played in five games for the Reading U-23 team scoring two goals in the process.
Onen was born on 17th February 2001 to Brian Innocent Onen and Dion Joan Chapman.

He is a product of Arsenal’s academy and has also played for Brighton and Hove Albion U-18, Bromley and Brentford B.

He was part of the Uganda Cranes training camp in Dubai last month but didn’t make part of the squad to face South Sudan this month after failing to secure a Ugandan passport in time.
He follows the footsteps of left back Jordan Obita, another Ugandan who has previously featured for Reading. Obita is now a free agent after leaving the Royals at the start of the season.
