Uganda Hippos (U20) interim head coach Jackson Mayanja has named a squad of 24 players for the CECAFA AFCON U20 Zonal Qualifiers.
The team departed for Sudan on Wednesday morning abroad Ethiopia Airlines.
Isma Mugulusi, Ssenyondwa Denis and Wabyoona Faisal are the only three players retained from the Hippos team that featured at the 2021 AFCON final tournament in Mauritania.
Mugulusi will captain the team while in Sudan. Uganda is pitted in group B alongside Tanzania and Ethiopia.

They will kickoff their campaign against Tanzania on 29th October at Al Hilal Stadium.
