Uganda Cranes Head Coach Milutin Sredojevic “Micho” has summoned the provisional squad for the AFCON qualifying game against already qualified Algeria in a Group F contest in Douala City, Cameroon.
The named squad comprises of 42 players and 18 are foreign-based while the rest are locally based.
Uganda Premier league joint top scorer Charles Bbaale (SC Villa) is part of the named squad while Asante Kotoko forward Steven Mukwala misses out.
Timothy Awanyi also misses out while Vipers SC defender Rogers Torach and SC Villa left back Umar Lutalo make the cut.
The Cranes will play against the Desert Foxes on June 18th, 2023, in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
Uganda is currently third placed in Group F with four points, the same as second placed Tanzania.
Uganda will end their Qualification campaign against Niger in September.
