Ugandan female trio joins Kator FC

Three female Ugandan players have officially been unveiled by newly formed South Sudan club Kator FC.

The three are; Fatuma Nakasumba, Madina Nakaayi and Aisha Namagembe.

Both Nakasumba and Namagembe are fresh from guiding Makerere University to a FUFA Women Elite League title and a promotion to the Super League.

Nakaayi, a left footed offensive midfielder, also played an instrumental role in guiding Asubo Gafford Ladies to a promotion to the Women Super League though they lost the Elite League final to Makerere 6-0.

Nakasumba is a combative central defender who has also previously played for Kampala Queens, Lady Doves and Makerere University.

Namagembe is another offensive midfielder who previously played for Makerere University, Asubo Gafford Ladies, Lady Doves and Rines SS among others.

Nakaayi has also had stints at Makerere University and Lady Doves in the most recent past.

Their new club Kator FC is a subsidy of the Kator FC’s men’s team based in Juba and will be competing in the South Sudanese league for the first time.

They will be coached by former Yei Joint Stars coach Harriet Alfred who will be assisted by Adong Christine Alex.

Their main assignment will be dislodging Yei Joint Stars who have won the past two South Sudanese championships.
