Ugandan goalkeeper features for Djibouti in World Cup Qualifier against Egypt

Ugandan born goalkeeper Sulait Luyima made his debut for the Djibouti National Team as they lost 6-0 to Egypt in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers on Thursday night in Cairo.

Luyima recently switched allegiance from Uganda having played his club football in Djibouti for the last five years.

He currently features for Arta Solar7 but previously played for AS Port FC between 2017-19. Luyima also played for SC Villa, URA and Bright Stars here in Uganda.

Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah scored four goals while Mostafa Mohamed and Mahmoud Trezeguet got one goal apiece deep in the second half.

Djibouti will be returning to action on Monday 10th November with a home game against Guinea Bissau to be host at the Cairo International Stadium.

Djibouti is in Group A of the Qualifiers alongside favourites Egypt, Guinea Bissau, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone and Ethiopia.
