Uganda’s weightlifter Davis Niyoyita scoops two medals at the ongoing 13th African Games in Ghana.
Niyoyita clinched Silver and bronze in the 55Kg category on opening day of the weightlifting competition at the University of Ghana.
The Ugandan had a total lift of 215Kg to claim silver and smiled to bronze after lifting 90Kg.
Uganda will be aiming for more medals in the Weightlifting competition with Lydia Nakidde, Aisha Namataka and Steven Ojede all still in the competition.
Uganda has so far managed gold in the Badminton (Women’s Doubles), Two Silvers (Weightlifting and Badminton). Two Bronze medals in Badminton and Weightlifting.
