Uganda’s Shamira Nabadda to officiate at CAF Women’s Champions League

Ugandan female center referee Shamira Nabadda has been named among the match officials who will oversee games at the second edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.

The tournament will start on October 30th with eight clubs from the six CAF regions vying for glory.

Nabadda is currently on duty in the ongoing CECAFA Zonal U17 AFCON Qualifiers in Ethiopia alongside assistant referee Ronald Katenya.

She was also a match official during the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament held in Morocco in June this year.

It should be noted that the former Western United defender started her career about six years ago when she officially retired from active football.

10 center referees will be at the tournament, seven officials will be in charge of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) while 12 other referees have been designated as assistant referees.
