Umar Kyebatala joins Maroons on loan from Vipers

Maroons FC have completed the signing of forward Umar Kyebatala on a season long loan from Uganda Premier league champions Vipers.

Kyebatala promised to help the two time Uganda Premier league champions during the forthcoming season

“This is a good team, they play good free attacking football. I want to bring my experience here and help the team to keep winning, I remain focus to help the team and that means enjoying myself on the pitch, and scoring and assisting. That’s the aim for me these next 12 months”.

“I am also happy my team mates joined in like Okao and Lawrence, we shall add value to the club”. He told the club website

Kyebatala is a former St.Mary’s Secondary school Kitende student whom he helped to the 2019 Copa Coca-cola and FEASSSA triumphs in Jinja and Arusha respectively.

At Maroons, he joins Lawrence Tezikya and Jacob Okao who also joined the Luzira based side on loan deals from Vipers.

The other new signings at Maroons are Isaac Mpagi, David Ndihabwe, Brian Nkubi, Samson Kigozi, Arafat Kakonge and Noel Nassasira.
