University Football League: KU’s Tumusiime calls for focus as they visit Gulu University

Kampala University head coach Vincent Tumusiime alias Titi has called upon his troops to be focused ahead of their visit to Gulu University in a group E contest on Friday.

Tumusiime believes his side can reach the finals this year but they need to have a great start to their campaign

“Yes, I believe we can get to the finals again but we have to be focused if we are to meet our target.” I has been hard the last few seasons but we are ready and prepared this season to go all the way.”

Gulu is not an easy side to play against and the last time we were there they almost beat us. I know how they play and we are going there for maximum points.”
We need to start our campaign on a positive note if we are to go all the way this term.” Said Tumusiime

Gulu University’s Robert Omony has called upon his charges to make use of the home advantage

“This season’s competition format is tight. You must finish on top of your group to guarantee progress and our group is a hard one. We must make sure we win at home and even away but winning at home in competitions like this one is always important.” Said Omony.

Kampala University are two time winners of the competition following their triumphs in 2013 and 2016. Gulu University have never won the competition and are only eyeing their first trophy.
