UPDF FC head coach Brian Ssenyondo believes that football fans in the country should learn how to lose honorably.

Ssenyondo’s comments came after SC Villa fans stoned Wakiso Giants team doctor Keith Walusimbi during their 2-1 loss on Friday.

They also denied match officials access to the dressing rooms at halftime break.

“Fans should learn to lose honorably, I always see SC Villa’s administration hold meetings with their fans and I wonder what they always talk about. They have not lost many games and they are now violent.”

Ssenyondo added,

“The person you are beating for losing a game is a parent, he has a family. Personally I stay around Bombo and have observed how Onduparaka have been affected with the punishment of hosting from there rather than from their own ground but they have learnt. I think violent fans should be sanctioned this will also help in ending hooliganism.” Ssenyondo revealed via NBS Sport.

On Saturday evening, SC Villa Vice President in charge of mobilization and fans affairs stated that as a club they find any form of hooliganism totally detestable and it has no place at the club.
