Brian Senyondo’s men are in free falling mode after failing to win a single game in their previous five league outings.

They have shipped in 11 goals and only managed to score four times including a 7-2 mauling at the hands of Vipers SC at Kitende.

They meet another limping side in SC Villa this evening at Bombo Military Grounds with the two sides desperate to turn their fortunes around.

Villa are fresh from a disappointing 3-0 loss to Vipers at Kitende in midweek and their last victory came on Decenber 27th against bottom placed Tooro United.

Head to Head

From their previous five meetings, UPDF has managed three wins against Villa’s one. And the reverse fixture of this tie ended 0-0 at Njeru.

Team news:

UPDF are expected to hand new signing Andrew Kawooya his debut. He joined on loan from KCCA FC in the recently concluded transfer window.

The Army side hasn’t reported any serious absentees.

SC Villa have not travelled with first choice goal keeper Meddie Kibirige, leaving Martin Senkooto as the automatic choice to start between the sticks.

The good news for Petros Koukouras is the availability of experienced defender Bernard Agele whose documentation has been cleared by the licensing committee.

He is expected to provide a perfect cover for the injured Kenneth Semakula.

Youngster Travis Mutyaba misses out due to sickness and he did not travel with the squad altogether.

New signing Shafiq Bakaki is yet to be cleared and Saddam Juma hasn’t reached the required fitness levels.

Only three points separate the two sides with Villa sitting 11th on the log having collected 16 points from 15 matches. UPDF are 9th after amassing 19 points.
