URA get the better of Gaddafi to close in on the top


Substitutes Ibrahim Dada and Brian Nkuubi scored as URA FC secured a 2-1 hard earned victory at Arena of Vision in Ndejje.

Dada who replaced Moses Sseruyidde at halftime headed home seven minutes after getting on to the pitch off Vianne Ssekajugo’s well delivered cross from the right.

Debutant Sheif Batte found the equaliser for Peter Onen’s coached side in the 67th minute through a well curved volley.

With the game destined to end in a one all draw, Nkuubi restored URA FC’s lead in the last minute of the game that ensured the Tax Collectors move away with maximum points.

Nkuubi had replaced Ivan Sserubiri in the 84th minute.

The Tax Collectors leapfrog Express FC to the third position moving to 31 points from 17 games.

They next visit Wakiso Giants on the 15th-February at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.

Onen’s side will host Mbarara City on 20th-February at the Gaddafi Arena in Jinja City.
