Kataka FC edged Blacks Power FC 2-1 during a FUFA Big League game that was played on Sunday at Mbale Stadium.

Swamad Okur and a late strike from Latif Senkubuge earned Kataka FC maximum points.

Mike Siwu scored the only goal for Blacks Power.

In the 84th minute, there was drama when referee Muzamiru Waiswa awarded Kataka a controversial penalty which was contested by Blacks Power players.

Referee Waiswa ran to the FUFA TV van to overturn the penalty incident in Kataka’s win over Blacks Power

Due to protests from Blacks Power players, Waiswa decided to run to the FUFA TV production van to review the handball incident and later overturned his earlier decision.

Meanwhile, this was Kataka FC’s first victory the campaign and will next visit Arua on Sunday, 8th October to play Onduparaka at Greenlight Stadium while Blacks Power will host Jinja North in Lira at Aki Bua stadium.
