UPDF FC beat Bright Stars 1-0 in the Uganda Premier league game that was played at Bombo on Monday.
Both sides finished with 10 men in the game that was handled by Referee Lucky Kasalirwe.
Bright Stars goalkeeper Hassan Matovu was sent off for kicking Referee Kasalirwe in the first half.

In the second half UPDF were also reduced to ten men after Moses Kiggundu received a second yellow in the closing stages of the game.
Jibril Nsimbe scored the all important goal in the 39th minute that moves the army side a place above relegation. They are 13th with 15 points in the 18 games they have played.
Bright Stars stay sixth placed on the table with 24 points in 17 games they have played this campaign.
