SC Villa will kick off their Uganda Premier league campaign over the weekend, Swift Sports can reliably confirm.
According to sources, the record Uganda Premier League champions will begin the season away to newbies Arua Hill this weekend after reaching a compromise with FUFA.
Both FUFA and Villa have held several meetings in the last couple of days to see that the club returns to the 2021/22 UPL fixture.
For starters, SC Villa was to open their campaign last week at home against BUL FC but failed to meet FUFA’s demand of sorting their house before the league starts.

The record champions also refused to oblige to FUFA’s direction and even went ahead to sack Shawn Mubiru as CEO and was replaced by Brendah Nambalirwa Kawuma.
The Federation however went ahead and suspended Nambalirwa for dragging football matters to court which is in contravention of FUFA and FIFA statutes.
