Vipers defeat hands sack to TP Mazembe coach



Five time CAF champions league winners TP Mazembe have parted ways with head coach Frank Dumas.

The Frenchman who was only hired in August last year, has failed to guide the team to the group stages of Africa’s most coveted club competition for a second consecutive year.

They were ejected by South Africa’s Amazulu at the same stage.

Dumas and his assistant were’nt on the touchline

Just hours after the infamous result, the club released a statement confirming the booting of the Frenchman.

“This Saturday October 2022, President Moise Katumbi and coach Frank Dumas have parted ways in a friendly manner.”

“The president thanked the coach for the work done and wished him a safe journey”…

A statement read

It has been further stressed Katumbi has also sacked the entire club management committee with immediate effect, only sparing the tea secretary.

Vipers SC reached unchartered territories after forcing a goalless draw in Lubumbashi and ultimately beat the Congolese powerhouse 4-2 on penalties.
