Vipers SC impress in the second half to humble Arua Hill 3-1 at the St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

Second half from Cesar Manzoki, Milton Karisa and Yunus Sentamu earned the Venoms maximum points to extend their lead at the top of the Uganda Premier league.

Gaddafi Wahab scored a consolation for the visitors.

In the first period, the two sides did not created enough scoring chances and it was goalless at the break.

Three minutes after the recess, Manzoki gave the home side the lead though he looked to have been in an offside position. The goal stood as the Congolese forward extend his tally for the season to 11 goals.

Karisa doubled Vipers lead in the 71st minute after a wonderful combination with Manzoki before Wahab found a consolation for the Arua outfit four minutes later.

Sentamu put the seal on Vipers victory with only 10 minutes to normal time with his 10th league goal of the campaign.

The four time Uganda Premier league champions have now scored three goals in each of their previous three games.

Vipers stay top of the log with 39 points, four above second placed KCCA FC who play Mbarara City on Sunday.

Arua Hill are sixth on the table with 28 points they have garnered this term.
