Congolese forward Cesar Manzoki scored a brace as the Kitende based side advanced to their fifth final in the competition.
This was the first competitive game for Vipers SC tactician Roberto Oliveira.
Vipers dominated the first period of the game and created more scoring opportunities only to be denied by Police FC goalie Ikarah.

Police looked unfit during the game and were handed a big blow when goalkeeper Tom Ikarah picked up an injury in the first minute of the game during a collision with Manzoki.
Police with no substitute goalkeeper had to play the entire game with an injured Tom Ikarah.
In the opening minutes of the game, Manzoki forced Ikarah into two brilliant saves.

Milton Karisa also came close but his effort went wide.
Manzoki fired Vipers into the deserved lead in the 20th minute with a cool finish after a mistake by Police FC defender Muhamood.
Tonny Mawejje nearly levelled matters early in the second half but was denied by Fabien Mutombora.
Moments later, Manzoki doubled the 2016 Uganda Cup champions lead with another brilliant finish.
In the 65th minute, Mawejje had his effort kiss the crossbar.

Vipers held on to cruise to their fifth final of the competition. Their last appearance in the Uganda Cup ended in defeat to KCCA FC in 2018.
They will play the winner between BUL FC and Express FC in the final.
