Wakiso Giants aim to arrest sinking form in visit to neighbors Bright Stars

Bright Stars will entertain Wakiso Giants in a Uganda Premier League contest at Kavumba.

The two sides progressed to the last 16 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup with Bright Stars eliminating Paidha Black Angels while Wakiso ejected Water FC.

This will be the fourth meeting between the two sides in the top tier, both ties last season ended in a 1-1 stalemates.

The first round meeting this term ended in a 2-2 draw at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium with Ronald Ssempala and Joseph Janjali scoring for Bright Stars while Viane Ssekajugo and Ibrahim Kasule netted for Wakiso Giants.

The hosts are currently 10th on the table with 20 points in 16 games, having won five, drawn five and lost six this campaign.

Wakiso are 13th with 16 points, they have won 2, 10 draws and lost four.

Bright Stars will be without the trio of custodian Buule Kiwanuka, Sam Ssekitto and Ronald Ssempala through respective injuries.

The Purple Sharks will miss the services of defender Satulo Edward who is injured while Viane Ssekajugo is still serving his ban. They however, welcome back Joshua Lubwama and Pius Kaggwa
