Wakiso Giants leave it late to stretch UPDF’s winless streak to 12 matches

UPDF FC 0-1 Wakiso Giants

UPDF FC conceded a late goal courtesy of Rahmat Ssenfuka to lose 1-0 to Wakiso Giants in the early kick played at 2pm at Bombo.

The game was destined for a goalless draw but Ssenfuka struck a winner in the 77th minute.

Ssenfuka calmly slotted the ball into the net following a wonderful spadework from Moses Aliro from the left flank.

The game entirely had very few goal attempts with both sides struggling to control possession and initiate attacks.

The defeat subsequently stretched UPDF’s winless streak to 12 league games with their last win coming on December 5th against Soltilo Bright Stars.

The Brian Ssenyondo coached team temporarily sits 9th with 23 points and sit only five points above the drop zone.

Wakiso Giants are now 6th with 33 points and will play against UPDF in the Uganda Cup next week.
