Wakiso Giants will be seeking for first leg advantage when they host Police FC in the quarterfinals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup on Thursday at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.
The Purple Sharks thrashed Tooro United 7-3 on aggregate to advance to this stage while Police eliminated Bright Stars 4-2 in the round of 16.
Wakiso have been in brilliant form in the last eight league games winning five and drawing three. In that period, they have scored 27 and conceded 10.

The Cops on the other hand have gone six games without registering victory. They have lost four and drawn two in their previous six games.
This will be the fifth meeting between the two sides. In the previous four, Police have managed two wins, drawn once and lost the other to Wakiso.
The two sides have already met twice in the league this term, Wakiso beat Police FC 3-1 in the league at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium while the other ended in a goalless stalemate.

Douglas Bamweyana’s charges will be without the trio of Ivan Bogere, Kipson Atuhaire and Hassan Ssenyonjo.
Police will welcome back skipper Tonny Mawejje, Henry Katongole and Hassan Muhamood.
Goalkeeper Tom Ikara who missed the game against Mbarara City in the league through suspension is available for selection.
