Tooro United will need a miracle to over turn a first leg 5-1 defeat to Wakiso Giants if they are to advance to the last eight of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The Purple Sharks who won the first leg at home will need to avoid losing 4-0 at Buhinga Stadium to reach the quarterfinals of the competition.

Wakiso are heavy favourites to progress to the quarterfinals a feat they last achieved in 2018.

This will be the fifth meeting between the two sides in all competitions with Wakiso Giants managing two wins, Tooro United registering a single victory and the other two have ended in stalemates.

The hosts will be without Midfielder Lawrence Kigonya through suspension while Rashid Mukungu is out injured.

Wakiso Giants will miss the services of skipper Hassan Ssenyonjo, Hassan Wassws Dazo, Fahad Kawooya and Faizul Aniini who have been rested for this contest.

The aggregate winner will join Vipers SC who secured a place in the last after overcoming UPDF FC 4-2 in a two legged round of 16 tie.
