Wasswa Bbosa in the spotlight as Express host Gaddafi FC

Former Express FC tactician Wasswa Bbosa will aim to get his first three points of the season when he takes on Express FC, a side with which he achieved the biggest coaching career success.

It will however not be his first return to Wankulukuku after opening the season with a disappointing 2-0 loss against SC Villa.

Bbosa will face off with former protege James Odoch who was elevated to head coach role after serving as Bbosa’s assistant at Express FC.

Known for his knack of moving with trusted lieutenants wherever he goes, many Gaddafi players will be facing their former side.

Mayad Yaya Kakooza, Sadiq Sekyembe, Simon Serunkuuma and Joel Mutakubwa are all in line to face former paymasters.

Express FC will hope to bounce back from a derby defeat over SC Villa but they have already collected four points having drawn against UPDF at Bombo and also beaten URA FC at Wankulukuku.

Gaddafi are yet to taste victory this term. They fell to SC Villa and followed it up with a stalemate against Onduparaka.

The two sides have faced off two times in history, Express FC won the encounter at Wankulukuku and the other meeting in Jinja ended in 1-1 draw last season.

“We lost our previous game against SC Villa. We are already focused on our next game tomorrow. Most of the players were from express including the coach so it turns out to be a derby as well. We shall plan very well to see that we win tomorrow’s game.’

“The game is going to be very competitive because both teams have what it takes. I have been at Express and I have a lot of respect for the club”

“It is a very important match for us because we are yet to register any victory. I believe we have done good preparation to try and get the result”

Defender Derrick Ngobi will need a late fitness assessment but the match comes too soon for new signings Abubakar Kasule, David Lukwago and Yusuf Ssozi who are yet to find fitness.

Experienced defender Arthur Kiggundu is also ruled out through injury

Gaddafi have travelled without captain Andrew Waiswa, Jamaldine Buchochera, Bithum Ronald, Amos Kirya and Frank Mulimi.

Midfielder Nicholas Kasozi will also not face his former paymasters through injury
