Women football recieve massive boost as the FIFA-FUFA development is launched

The Federation of international football Associations (FIFA) and FUFA have this afternoon launched a development project dubbed “FIFA-FUFA league development project “.

The function was held at Uganda Christian University in Mukono and it is aimed at the development of Women football leagues in the country.

FIFA were represented by Women football Expert Violet Jubane who empathized FIFA’s intention towards Women football development across member associations.

” FIFA has a detailed work plan to develop Women’s football and projects like this one. We are here to fulfill that target , spreading across member Associations. ”

Jubane said.

“The FIFA-FUFA league development project comes with direct support towards the women football clubs including financial assistance , equipment and capacity building .

She added.

The 16 teams of the FUFA women Super league recieved 20 jerseys, stockings and balls.

It was also revealed that this assistance will further extend to the FUFA Women’s elite league.
