Yusuf Mukisa completes move to Kenya Premier League side

Nairobi City Stars have confirmed the signing of Ugandan defender Yusuf Mukisa Lubowa on a two year contract.

Mukisa has been in contact with Nairobi City Stars since January and trained with the club before he finally put paper to paper to complete the move.

“Ugandan defender Yusuf Mukisa Lubowa is the latest player to join Nairobi City Stars. He arrives from Uganda’s top-tier side Proline FC on a two-year deal.”

“Mukisa returned to Simba wa Nairobi to actualise his signing in the current window after a transfer move at the first time of asking in January 2020 failed to materialize.”

For starters, Mukisa was playing for Proline FC in the 2019/20 Uganda Premier League season, a side he rejoined after a one year spell at SC Villa.

He is a former Uganda U-20 captain who has also previously featured for BUL FC and Vipers from where we won the 2014-15 league title.

Mukisa becomes the third signing made by Nairobi City Stars in the current transfer window after striker Erick Ombija and Sven Yidah from Gor Mahia and Kariobangi Sharks respectively m

Nairobi City Stars has in the past years been a home for Ugandan players such as Daniel Muzeyi Sserunkuma, Bruno Sserunkuma, and Jimmy Bageya among others.
