Striker Ronald Ssempala is one of the signings made by Big League side Police FC ahead of the start of the second round.

Ssempala signed a two year contract with the Cops and will be officially unveiled soon.

The budding striker has spent the last two and half year on the sidelines after sustaining a long term injury while playing for Soltilo Bright Stars in 2020.

Among other new signings at Police FC is winger Hassan Kikoyo who has previously featured for Soltilo Bright Stars, Lweza FC and Rwanda’s Gasogi United.

Jackson Ssemugabi from Watford Katosi, Muhammad Nsereko from SC Villa, Denis Kalanzi from Kaaro Karungi and Walter Alele from Onduparaka are the other signings.

Police’s biggest concern in the first round of the season was in the offensive department where they had very few options.

The Angelo Lonyesi coached team currently sits 4th on the Big League table with 30 points, one behind leaders Kitara FC.

The Cops beat Apuutun FC 1-0 in Soroti to book a place in the round of 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
