Stanbic Uganda Cup :Perfect start for Masaba as BUL edge Onduparaka

Simeon Masaba got off the mark with a 1-0 victory against Onduparaka FC guiding defenders BUL FC to the quarter finals of the 49th edition of the Stanbic Uganda.

Martin Aprem’s only goal in the game helped the Eastern side to progress to the next round in a game where both sides had a player sent.

BUL FC’s midfielder Emmanuel Kalyowa was sent off in the 40th minute of the game while Rashid Okocha was sent off seven minutes to the end of the game.

The encounter was the first for Masaba at the helms of BUL FC after replacing Alex Isabirye who joined Vipers SC

In the other game of the day Express FC defeated Paidha Black Angels 4-0 at Wankulukuku.

Express FC goals were scored by Boban Zirintusa bagging a brace, Anwar Ntege and Faizal Sekyanzi also scored each.

BUL FC join Vipers SC, Soltilo Bright Stars and Express FC at the quarter finals

They now shift the focus to the Uganda Premier League where they host SC Villa on Tuesday 21st at FUFA Technical Center.

Onduparaka FC will resume their relegation fight 31st against Express FC at Wankulukuku
