A decision on Milutin Sredojevic Micho’s Uganda Cranes future is set to be made soon, with a growing sense it will be difficult for him to continue as head coach after the AFCON Qualification double header against Tanzania.

Uganda will face off with the Taifa Stars on Tuesday evening at Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam. The Cranes lost the previous game 1-0 in Egypt.

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has called for a press conference on Thursday regarding the national teams.

FUFA President Moses Magogo will address the media according to the Federation’s communications director Ahmed Hussein

“FUFA will this Thursday hold a press briefing specifically about the Uganda National Football teams and will be addressed by the FUFA President.”

Said Ahmed

The Serbian who left in 2017 after guiding Uganda to the continental Showpiece that year returned to Uganda in 2021 on a three year employment contract with an option of a further year.

There is a sense that Micho could depart the the Cranes job much sooner. Uganda is currently bottom of Group F of the AFCON qualifying phase with just a single point in three games they have played.
