SC Villa moved to the top of the Uganda Premier league with a 1-0 away with over Busoga United on Friday.
Frank Kalule scored the all important goal in the 81st minute to put Jackson Magera’s side above KCCA FC on the log.
The Jogoos are now top with 37 points after they have garnered in 18 games, two above second placed KCCA FC who play Maroons on Saturday.
Villa have now won four games on the bounce after victories over Onduparaka, Express, BUL FC and now Busoga United.
Kalule’s late strike saw Villa complete a double over Busoga. They won the reverse fixture with a similar result at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
The Jogoos had never completed a double over the Jinja based.
Villa will next host Soltilo Bright Stars on Tuesday, 4th April at Muteesa II Stadium while Busoga will travel to bottom placed Onduparaka on the same day.
