UOC President Rukare on the impact of Media clinics

Uganda Olympic Committee President Donald Rukare has revealed the importance of Media clinics.
According to the UOC President, the media clinics create a deeper partnership between the committee and journalists.
Rukare stated while addressing the media at the one-day Media Clinicb that was organized by UOC on Wednesday at Lugogo.
“We always have these clinics to create a deeper partnership with the Journalists.”
“Through these kind of engagements we are able to build the media to understand better how these games operate and how we prepare and participate in the games.
I therefore call upon the media to maintain independence.”
UOC also plans to have Technical Information Meetings done regularly to help the Journalists report from an informed point of view.
Meanwhile, the one-day media clinic was under the theme ‘A Journalist As a spearhead in promoting Olympic Sport’ was attended by over 25 media practitioners.
It was facilitated by Sande Bashaija, Shilla Omuriwe, Lydia Gloria Dhamuzungu, George Wagoogo, Brandon Katura, Ganzi Mugula and Elijah Njawuzi
