Tear gas over shadowed the entertaining Jinja District USSSA qualifiers final between JIPRA and Jinja SS at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja.
JIPRA emerged champions of the Jinja District after shooting out Jinja SS 4-2 in spot kicks. The two sides had played to a one all full-time draw.
Nicholas Mukibi scored for JIPRA while Reagan Isabirye scored for Jinja SS.
The two sides qualify for the regionals that are to be played at Bukoyo SS starting 5th-8th April.
At full-time, some fans started throwing stones which led Police to use of tear gas.
At the end of the regionals, four schools will qualify for the nationals that will be played in Fort Portal come May.
Standard High School Zzana, St Julian High School Gayaza, St Mary’s Kitende, Buddo SS, London College Nansana and Kawempe Royal College are the six schools from Wakiso that already qualified for the nationals
