KCCA FC have once again dropped two crucial points following a 1-1 stalemate with Blacks Power at Akii-bua Memorial Stadium Lira.

Denis Iguma scored for KCCA FC cancelling Robert Eseru’s early strike.

When asked to account for his team’s poor run of form at such a crucial moment , Byekwaso revealed that,

“I think we are struggling for rythm and match fitness following a full month’s break”

“One month without play is a lot, we are coming back and all the teams that are on form having been playing and we have been off, but we shall come back. We still believe in ourselves and we have the trust.”

” We played friendly games but they don’t bring out the real picture like when playing a competitive game. The players have started to gain match fitness and I am hopeful the team will win games and we shall return to the summit.”

He added.

“I feel bad because KCCA FC is a good team and we have been in a good position showing that we can win the trophy but once you start to drop points like this, it puts you in a bad situation. We need to pull up the socks but I think the month we took without play affected us in terms ofball usage, finishing chances and decision making, so we need to keep up pushing.”

Byekwaso’s side are now on 37 points, three behind leaders SC Villa having played two games less.
