Winger Muwadda Mawejje is set to complete a move to Uganda Premier League side Maroons FC, Swift Sports understands.
Mawejje is now a free agent after parting ways with UPDF FC at the end of the previous campaign.
He played a pivotal role at UPDF as the army side raced to safety from relegation at the expense of Busoga United and Gaddafi FC.
Mawejje is a tried and tested player who has previously played for SC Villa, KCCA FC, Victoria University, Wakiso Giants and Police FC.
He also had a brief stint with Rwanda’s Rwamagana FC and a loan spell with Soltilo Bright Stars.
Maroons already unveiled Ivan Asaba, Apollo Kagogwe, Ibrahim Juma Dada and former SC Villa forward Rogers Kiwanuka.
They have also agreed terms with forward Brian Omirambe and former Express midfielder Ivan Mayanja.
