NEC FC have reached an agreement to sign Ibrahim Kiyemba from Gaddafi FC.

According to FUFA TV’s Sportlight Show, Kiyemba will join NEC FC on a two year contract.

The tried and tested versatile defender can ably play across the defense but also in the midfield.

Kiyemba is expected to add steel to the NEC FC squad ahead of the second half of the season.

NEC, under coach Hussein Mbalangu, are expected to part ways with a number of players to create room for the incoming ones.

Gaddafi Wahab, goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan, Dennis Iguma and Gift Ali are some of the new faces expected at NEC in the second round.

Kiyemba rose to the scene with the now defunct Lweza FC in 2014 and went on to play for SC Villa, Vipers SC and Wakiso Giants before joining Gaddafi FC last season.

He has previously featured for the senior national team The Cranes and made his debut in a memorable 1-0 win over Nigeria in 2015 during Micho’s first stint.

NEC are currently 7th on the UPL log with 24 points from the first 15 games played.
