Shadow Minister of Sports and Bukomansimbi South Member of Parliament Godfrey Kayemba Solo has revealed the only development at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

Kayemba asserts that only the fence has been built at the stadium that is under refurbishment.

Last month, the Minister of State for Sports, Hon. Peter Ogwang assured fans that by 12th June Uganda will host Algeria at Namboole but according to Hon. Kayemba this will only happen miraculously.

“I have visited Namboole Stadium and it’s only the fence and Nelson Mandela monument that are completed. Unless miracles are performed the stadium will not be ready by June, so we should be ready to return to Egypt.” Said Kayemba
