Kyetume FC punished for hooliganism against Kitara

Kyetume FC has been sanctioned for violation of Article 31 of the FUFA Competitions Rules and Regulations following acts of hooliganism in their FUFA Big League match against Kitara FC on 20th April 2023 at Nakisunga Saza Ground.

The game was abandoned in the additional minutes after Kyetume fans stormed the pitch after Kitara scored a late goal.

The FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel rules that Kyetume FC loses the match by forfeiture.

The club has also been fined 1 million shillings which should be paid by 2nd May 2023.

The CDP rules a suspended deduction of two points and two goals should Kyetume FC be responsible for acts of hooliganism again.

Kyetume players Solomon Opolot and Patrick Mubiru have been punished with a four match suspension each.

The ruling means Kitara are back on the top of the table with 51 points from 26 games played.

Kyetume sits 10th on the table with 33 points accumulated from 26 games played.
