Shakira Nyinagahirwa became the first player to score double goals after grabbing a second half brace in Kawempe Muslim’s 2-1 win over Asubo Gafford Ladies as the Women Super League resume at the Valley ground.
Kawempe who were wasteful on the day, found themselves trailing at halftime after Kamiyat Naigaga capitalized on a slip in defense to score for Asubo Gafford Ladies in the 30th minute.
Kawempe kept knocking for a leveller and eventually got it through the in-form Nyinagahirwa who was on a receiving end of a poor clearance to fire the ball past the keeper’s trying gloves in the 60th minute.
Nyinagahirwa then sealed the comeback for the school side from a perfect long ball from Rhoda Nanziri in the 87th minute.
Asubo Gafford Ladies have a bad habit of beating Kawempe in the valley but not for today.

The brace took her tally to 11 goals, three more than Kampala Queens striker Resty Nanziri and UCU’s Ashait Nalugwa who have eight each.
Kawempe have now won five of the six second round games while Asubo Gafford Ladies have won four of those six.
Kawempe maintain their second place with 26 points while Gafford Ladies remain 7th with 16 points, one above the drop.
The other early kick off game played between Lady Doves and She Corporates ended goalless in Masindi.
The match day will continue with UCU Lady Cardinals hosting Uganda Martyrs at Mukono later at 4pm.
Champions Kampala Queens will play against Olila High School in Soroti on Sunday.
Rines and Makerere University will lock horns in a relegation six-pointer at Kabaka Kyabaggu on Sunday morning.
