Milton Karisa scored the all important goal as Vipers beat KCCA FC 1-0 in what was dubbed as a title decider on Friday at Kitende.

The Venoms skipper sent the Kitende faithfuls into a frenzy with a late winner.

Abubakar Lawal had the first attempt of the contest in the fourth minute but his effort from close range hit the post.

A returning Rogers Mato had KCCA FC’s first chance but his effort was saved by custodian Fabien Mutombora.

Mato also had another opportunity in the 28th minute but his effort went wide

In the second half, the Venoms had a penalty claim when Geoffrey Wasswa looked to have fouled Lawal in the forbidden area.

KCCA also had their penalty claim waved way by referee Mashood Ssali when Hillary Mukundane seemed to have made contact on Mato.

Vipers goalkeeping coach Ibrahim Mugisha was sent off after a brawl that started after Mustafa Mujjuzi had fouled Isa Mubiru.

Moments later Allan Okello had his well struck effort kiss the post with Mato blasting over the bar on a rebound.

In the final 10 minutes, both Martin Kizza and substitute Cromwell Rwothomio failed to hit the target.

With just a minute left to normal time, Karisa punished the Kasasiro boys as his low shot sailed past Benjamin Ochan.

After the final whistle, KCCA FC striker Tshisungu Kakonde was shown red for punching Referee Ssali.
