St.Mary’s SS Kitende edged St.Henry’s College Kitovu 1-0 to clinch the USSSA National Football title in Fort Portal.
Habib Oloya scored the all important goal in the first half to inspire Kitende to their third consecutive title and 11th overall.
They are now joint record winners alongside Kibuli who have also won 11 Schools Championship titles.
It was a perfect revenge for Kitende who lost 2-1 to Kitovu in the group A contest.
Kitende previously won the trophy in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2019 and 2022.
Despite the narrow defeat, Kitovu who were featuring in their first ever national championship final will represent Uganda at East Africa games in Rwanda later this year.
Champions Kitende, Royal Giant from Mityana, Amus College and Kibuli SS are the other schools that will represent Uganda in Rwanda.
Royal Giant High School Mityana beat Amus 4-2 in the classification game.
