He replaced Greek tactician Petros Koukouras who was sacked by the club after the 2021/22 season.

Magera’s assistant Ibrahim Kirya will also leave the club.

SC Villa came close to clinching the league title last season but collapsed on the final day when they suffered a 1-0 defeat to URA FC.

On the final day, SC Villa needed victory over URA FC to win their first league title since 2004.

The Jogoos’ collapse on the grand finale of the 2022/23 season saw them surrender the title to Vipers SC and dramatically finished third.
