FUFA Women Super League club Kampala Queens are set to appoint former Uganda Cranes midfielder Tony Mawejje and Brian Ssenyondo as their new coaches.
The pair will be replacing Hamza Lutalo who won the FUFA Women Super League with the club last season.
Ssenyondo has been the head coach of Uganda Premier League club UPDF FC until his employment contract came to an end.
The youthful coach has previously coached Synergy FC, Mbarara City as well as the national U17 Boys national team where he worked alongside Lutalo.
Ssenyondo will be the club’s head coach while Mawejje will be his immediate assistant.
Earlier last week reports indicated that Kampala Queens will be parting ways with their head coach Lutalo, his assistant Kato Alimiya Ssenyange and Solomon Mboowa who has been serving as the goalkeepers coach.
Mawejje recently enrolled for a CAF C Coaching License after hanging boots following a successful football career.
Kampala Queens will be representing Uganda in the CAF Women’s Champions League with the Zonal Qualifiers set for August in Uganda.
