BUL FC are set to complete the signing of goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa from Gaddafi FC.
According to Pulse Sport, Mutakubwa has agreed terms with BUL FC and will put pen to paper on a two year employment contract.
Mutakubwa is one of the highly rated shot stoppers in the country. At the start of the concluded season, he joined Gaddafi FC from Express FC.
He also won the 2021 CECAFA Kagame Cup with Express FC.
This year, Mutakubwa was part of the Uganda Cranes CHAN team but didn’t make an appearance due to stiff competition from first choice goalkeeper Nafian Alionzi.
He is expected to fill the void left by Emmanuel Kalyowa who left the BUL FC after expiration of his contract.
Mutakubwa has previously played for Kyetume FC, Tooro United and Kirinya Jinja SS (now known as Busoga United).
The 2021 Stanbic Uganda Cup Champions BUL FC have already agreed terms with Vipers SC striker Lawrence Tezikya.
BUL FC finished in 7th place last season on the Uganda Premier league table with 36 points they accumulated in 28 games.
