Defender Enoch Walusimbi will be soon unveiled as Vipers SC player.

Swift Sports has established that the former Express FC captain was released by his club FC Peterhead at the end of the season.

Peterhead were relegated from the Scottish league One and they will play in league two next season after finishing 10th out of 10 clubs.

He had joined them last September after impressing them in trials.

The move saw Walusimbi lose his national team place and a return back to Vipers will surely resurrect his chances.

Walusimbi has previously featured for Shafranto FC (2011-2013), Nansana United (2013-2015), Bright Stars from where he transferred to Express FC.

During the 2020/21 season, Walusimbi captained Express to their seventh league title and the CECAFA club championship in 2021.

He was also instrumental for Buganda Province as they won the inaugural FUFA Drum tournament in 2018.

Meanwhile, in the current transfer season, the defending champions have already signed David Bagoole from Jinja North FC, Richard Matovu formerly of Arua Hill and Brazilian striker Giancarlo Lopez Rodriguez.
