Vipers unveil second Brazilian as their latest signing

Double Champions have completed the signing of Brazilian midfieder Luiz Otavio Santos de Araujo alias Tinga

He joins his fellow country man Giancarlo Lopez Rodriguez who joined Vipers last week.

Tinga joins the Venoms on a two-year employment contract.

The defensive midfielder is a former Brazilian U-20 international, who made six official caps for the Selecao at that level.

The latest acquisitions senior career dates back to 2010 at Ponte Preta, Palmeiras (2011-2013) with short spells at Ceara SC and Figueirense during that time.

In 2013, he departed Palmeiras for Avai FC (Brazilian Serie A) where he spent a year before joining Jubilo lwata in Japan. He rejoined the former in 2015.

The midfielder also featured for Suphanburi FC in Thailand on another short spell before returning home at Joinville SC.

Santo Andre, CRB, Umm Salai SC, Vila Nova FC, Santa Cruza, Volta Redonda at Brusque, Botafogo PB are some of Tinga’s previous clubs and most recently played for Marcilio Dias.

He becomes Vipers’ fourth signing of the in the current transfer window after Rodriguez, Richard Matovu and David Bagoole.
