BUL FC sign left back Mwere

BUL Football Club have completed the signing of defender Nicholas Mwere.

The left back joins from Busoga United and has put pen to paper on a three year contract with the Abbey Kikomeko coached side.

The move sees Mwere re-unite with coach Kikomeko whom he worked with at Busoga United.

Mwere has previously played for JIPRA in the secondary schools competitions and Kakira Town Council in the lower divisions of Jinja district before he joined Busoga United in 2021

At Busoga he has spent last two seasons with the Uganda premier league side.

Kikomeko is optimistic Mwere will prevail at BUL FC

“When you look at the backline of our team, we had a loophole on the left side. So, I opted for Mwere.”

“I looked at his height, and his work rate. He is a young player and a promising defender.”

“I expect him to become a better defender now that he has joined BUL.”

Mwere said also expressed his delight upon joining BUL FC

“I am excited to join BUL FC, the Eastern Giants.”

“BUL is a winning team, they recently won the Uganda cup and I expect to win with them more titles.”

“I will try to defend better as well as attack at the same time to help the team achieve its targets. We are going to work together and win together.” He told the club website

He joins Lawrence Tezikya, Gerald Ogweti and Joel Madondo who are the other signings at BUL FC.

BUL have already confirmed the departures of Richard Wandyaka, Emmanuel Kalyowa, Ivan Wani, Ibrahim Nsimbe, Aggrey Madoi, Owen Mukisa, Paul Ssekulima, Edrine Cavan Mawerere and Herbert Onyango.
