Uganda Premier League newbies NEC FC have completed the signing of goalkeeper Samson Kirya on a two year contract.

Kirya joins the Bugolobi based side as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Wakiso Giants.

Kirya is expected to boost the club’s goalkeeping department that has had Jeans Brady Wokorach and Michael Okiria as the first and second choice respectively.

Kirya brings experience and healthy competition at NEC FC having previously featured for Makerere University, Entebbe FC and SC Villa.

NEC are under the new stewardship of Hussein Mbalangu and his assistant Dudu Bosco who were recently appointed to replace Michael Skills Lukyamuzi.

The club is expected to make a massive recruitment of players in a bid to enhance their chances of staying in the topflight league.
